How Long Does the Battery Last on My Watch?
The battery life of your Shot Scope V5 watch depends on the mode you're using:
- GPS Mode: Up to 7–8+ hours of use
- GPS + Track Mode: Up to 6–7+ hours of use
Tip: If you're playing two rounds in a single day, we recommend using GPS-only mode for at least one round to conserve battery life.
Checking Battery Level
You can check the battery level in two ways:
- On the main clock face: Swipe left or right to view battery status
- During a round: Open the Game Menu to see the current battery level
If the battery runs low during play, a low battery icon will appear on your screen to alert you.

Any idea why my battery goes from 100% charged in the morning to 36% at 8pm when not using GPS or anything?
You state the x5 battery will last 2+ rounds in gps/gps track mode, iv had my x5 less than a month and after 1 round my battery displays 38% in no way will this do 2+ rounds on a single charge, my v3 had more after 1 round, my playing partner also has around 40% remaining after the same round of golf
Swapped my V3 for the X5 when they first came out. Have only played 2 rounds thus far. Both around 3.5 hours with watch switched on 30-40 mins prior to playing. Use GPS/ Track. An hour after the game the watch has been at 41% and today 27%.
So no way would it cope with 2 rounds.
I thought the recent updates had fixed battery issues?
I haven't even played a round of golf yet. And my watch dies within one day how is this supposed to last two rounds. I do like the style of the X5 compared to the V3, I really do not want to find a different company please help!
I had the same issue, Shotscope changed my watch and its all good now. Watch battery life works well.
Mark Winters: so did you send your watch in for shot scope to charge and how long were you without your watch.
The battery life in GPS mode lasting only 7/8+ hours and GPS+Track mode lasting 6/7+ hours is truly disappointing. Especially when comparing it to competitors in the same price range that offer 15+ hours in their golf GPS mode. It's crucial for the manufacturer to be transparent about these standards on their website rather than relying on misleading claims of "2+ rounds" of battery life.
What is the expected battery life for daily use? I tested my X5 today, wearing it for about 14 hours. It started at 100% and dropped to 40% by the time I took it off. Based on this, I'm concerned it might not last a full day tomorrow without a charge. Worth noting, I didn't use GPS mode on my watch today.
My battery in both my watch and my wife’s die after being fully charged and not used within a day. Totally unacceptable. Please respond
