Exclusive to the Shot Scope X5 GPS watch, the Hole Map View allows you to overlay your Performance Average (P-Avg) distances directly onto the course map, using personal club data from your Shot Scope account.
What Is P-Avg Distance?
P-Avg stands for Performance Average Distance—the average distance you hit a specific club, based on your Shot Scope data. This feature helps you plan your shots more effectively by showing how far you typically hit your longest clubs.
How to Access P-Avg on the Hole Map
- Connect your X5 to the Shot Scope app before your round.
- This will sync your personal club data to the watch.
- Your three longest clubs will be available to overlay on the map.
- During play, open the Hole Map View.
- On Par 4 and Par 5 holes, an orange P-Avg distance line will appear by default.
- On Par 3 holes, a white distance line will appear instead (P-Avg is not used on Par 3s).
- To change the club being displayed:
- Tap the club tag on the map, or
- Open the menu and select ‘P-Avg Distance’ to choose a different club.
Using the White Distance Line
In addition to P-Avg:
- A white distance line is available on all holes.
- To move it:
- Swipe up or down on the screen to adjust the line’s position and view custom distances.
Important Notes
- You need at least 5 rounds of data in your Shot Scope account for P-Avg distances to appear on the X5.
- If no qualifying data is available, only the white distance line will be displayed on all holes.
For best results, keep your watch regularly synced with the Shot Scope app to ensure your P-Avg data stays up to date. If you have any questions or need assistance, our support team is here to help.
